Vladimir Svetozarov

Born on 23 September 1948 in Leningrad. His father was the famous Soviet film director Josif Kheifets.

He graduated from the Faculty of Set Design and Stage Technology at the Leningrad State Institutte of Theatre, Music and Film [LGITM&К] (1972, workshop of М. Azizyan). From 1973 he was an artistic director for ‘Lenfilm’ Studios.

An Honoured Artist of Russia (1991).

Twice a winner of the «Nika» national film award for the films «The Cuckoo» (2002) и «Khrustalyov, ma car!» (2000)
