Mikhail Porechenkov

Born on March 2, 1969 in Leningrad. Has lived with grandmother in Pskov Oblast till five. Then has spent several years with his parents in Poland studying in a boarding school. Hasn’t graduated from Tallinn Military-Political College, has left the college of his own will ten days prior to the graduation. Has served fixed-term military service in Soviet Army.

In 1996 has graduated from Leningrad State Institute of Theatre, Music and Cinematography (LGITMiK), the course of V.M.Filshtinskiy.

After graduating has worked at the Saint-Petersburg theatre Na Kryukovom kanale and then was enrolled into the troupe of Lensovet Academic Theatre. Has played the role of Cyrano in the play “Cyrano.Scenes from Rostand” at the Nezavisimiy Teatralniy Proekt theatre.

In 2002 played his debut at the stage of Chekhov Moscow Art Theatre (Utinaya okhota).

In 2003 was accepted into the troupe of Chekhov Moscow Art Theatre.

Honored Artist of Russian Federation (01.08.2006).

Television works: the host of the programmes “Zapretnaya zona”, “Bitva ekstrasensov” (TNT), since 2008 – the host of the programme “Kulinarniy poedinok” (NTV).
