1980 - graduated from Leningrad’s State Institute of Cinema (cinema department)
1980 - 1981 – worked as an animator’s assistant at Leningrad studio of popular science and training films
1989 - completed the postgraduate course in the Leningrad’s State Institute of Theatre, Music and Cinema
1981 - 1990 - gave lectures at cinematography and photo art department of Saint-Petersburg State University of Culture and Arts
since 1990 - a movie director at Lenfilm studio
1993 - senior researcher of Russian institute of Art History
Irina Evteeva is the author of films made in a unique mixed animation and action technology.
She’s a Laureate of Russian Motion Picture Academy award “Golden Eagle” (2010, for the “Little Tragedies”), nominee for “Nika” (2004, for the movie “Petersburg”). She’s a participant and a prizewinner of prestigious international film forums: Silver lion of St. Marc at the Venice international film forum (“The Clown”), prize of the international film forum “Arsenal”, Riga (“The Horse, the Violin and a Little Bit Nervous”) , first prize of the international film festival “Drama”, Greece (“Elixir”). Second prize of the first Worldwide internet festival of short films, Tokyo, Japan ("Everlasting Variations. Demon. Theseus. Faust”)
